Preparing for a New School Year: Overview

After the end of the school year, and before the next school year begins, take some time to save data from the current school year, and to get Lexia ready for the next year!

This article outlines seven steps you can take to help you plan and prepare to use Lexia in a new school year, including:

  • Exporting student data

  • Making sure that your student computers and devices are ready to use Lexia programs

  • Updating your staff, student, and class rosters

  • Changing multiple students' program assignment from Core5 to PowerUp

Applies to: Educators and Administrators who have myLexia District Admin access, and some Educators and Administrators who have School Admin access to myLexia.

Does not Apply to: Staff who have myLexia School Admin accounts in a district site, or staff who have Teacher accounts or Read-Only accounts.

What should I do to prepare for a new school year?

1: Export student data

2: Review start and end dates

3: Tech check for a new school year

4: Plan rostering maintenance

5: Perform rostering maintenance

If you plan to move students from Core5 to PowerUp:

6: Check the Highest Grade Assigned to Core5

7: Switch Multiple Students from Core5 to PowerUp
