Getting colleagues and parents on board!

Hello educators! 👋Question: How do you explain structured literacy to parents and colleagues who have misconceptions about the science of reading? What is your science of reading elevator pitch? With so many myths about reading (kids will just learn to pick it up with exposure to books and silent reading 😒), there’s a lot of work we need to do to ensure that everyone is up to speed! I like to recommend that people listen to Sold a Story so that Emily Hanford can do some of the explaining. 😀
