Tech Check for a new school year
Overview
System requirements for Lexia products may change when we release new versions of our products in mid-July. To get the school year off to a smooth start, we recommend that you make sure your computers, browsers, and devices are ready to use Lexia products.
If your organization sets exceptions or trusted sites for your network or student devices, it’s also important to review your trusted sites or bypass list to make sure that all Lexia programs are included.
Applies to: Administrators and/or school or district technical staff
How and when should I check for browser and operating system compatibility?
If your students access Lexia programs through a web browser on computers, laptops, or Chromebooks, review the latest system requirements for up-to-date information on which browsers and operating systems are supported for each Lexia program.
Lexia recommends that you check for updated system requirements after mid-July each year.
How and when should I check for app updates for iPads?
If your students access Lexia programs through apps on iPads, you should make sure that the apps are updated to the latest versions. Please see the system requirements for up-to-date information on which iPads are supported for each program.
Lexia recommends that you check for updates to student apps after mid-July each year.
How do I configure our trusted sites to optimize performance of Lexia programs?
Student devices frequently communicate with the domains listed in Trusted URLs to Allow for Student Programs. Firewalls, content filters, proxy servers, and virus scanning software can all affect how Lexia programs perform on student devices.
For best performance, make sure all of the necessary IP addresses are added to your trusted sites or allow list(s).
