Getting Help: for Families
Overview
This article addresses some issues families may encounter when using Lexia student programs, and can help you determine your next step for resolving the issue.
Applies to: Families and caregivers of students who use at home.
Help with usernames, passwords, and teacher emails
To log in to a Lexia program, students need to have an account set up by their school. Students will need a username and password, and a teacher email address to set up their Lexia program.

If you don’t know your child’s username or password, or if you don’t have a teacher email to set up a Lexia program, contact your school. Is school closed for the day? See For Families: Login help when school is closed | If you don’t know your child’s username or password, or if you don’t know what email you should use to set up a Lexia program, contact Family Literacy Centers at Family Literacy Centers · Contact or 800-580-4275. |
Data privacy is important to us! Lexia Customer Support is not able to provide families with student usernames, student passwords, or teacher emails.
Wrong username error
If you get a “Try again! Username is not correct” error, check to make sure that the correct school name is displayed on the student login page. If the name is not correct, see Change School Name on Student Login Page.
Help with login and downloading
School-issued computers and tablets
If you’re using a school-issued device, please let your child’s teacher know about any issues with downloading or using Lexia programs. They may need to work with your school or district tech department to troubleshoot.
Home computers and tablets
If your child can log in to their Lexia program on one device, such as a school-issued computer, but not on another device, such as a family iPad, check to make sure that you are using a supported device and/or browser.
If you are having trouble downloading a Lexia program, or you are unable to find it in the Apple App Store, check to make sure that the device you’re using is supported. Please note that Lexia programs are not compatible with any phones.
If you are unable to complete a download, make sure that the device you’re using has enough storage space.
To see the system requirements for each Lexia program, including which devices and browsers are supported, and how much storage space you need to install Lexia programs on a tablet, see For families: supported devices
