Clever Onboarding Step 6: Launch
Overview
This article is the sixth (and final!) step in setting up a sync between Clever and myLexia.
By now, you have done most of the setup work, and are getting ready for launch day. On launch day, your first Clever sync will have run. Staff and students will be synced with Clever, and your student apps will be launched and ready for students to access from their Clever dashboards.
This article covers some frequently asked questions about launch day, and includes resources for troubleshooting common sync issues.
Applies to: Staff who have myLexia administrative accounts (District Administrators in a district site, and School Administrators in a school site) who also have administrative access to Clever.
Does not Apply to: Staff who have myLexia School Admin accounts in a district site, or staff who have Teacher accounts or Read-Only accounts.

When is our launch date?
You and your Lexia data integrations specialist will decide on a launch date together. During the time leading up to your launch date, your data integrations specialist will prepare your school or district’s account.
Once preparations are complete on Lexia’s end, your data integrations specialist will ask you to confirm that your school or district is ready to activate the Clever sync. Once that happens, Lexia will finalize the activation and launch the myLexia and Lexia student apps in Clever.
Clever syncs happen overnight, so you should see the results of your first sync in myLexia the morning after your site is activated.
What does launch day look like?
On launch day, your staff and students will probably notice a few differences.
Class changes
If you chose to manage classes through Clever, classes that were previously set up in myLexia will have been deleted with the first sync. In their place will be classes based on your Clever sharing rules.
If you have custom classes, such as classes that include exception staff or students, you may need to re-create them manually in myLexia.
If you remove students or staff from a class, or delete the class, it does not delete any accounts from myLexia. You can remove students or staff from a class, or delete a class, without worrying about deleting accounts or data.
Login changes
Login through Clever dashboard: Staff and students should now see the appropriate Lexia program tiles on their Clever dashboards. Staff see the myLexia app, and students see the student program app(s) that they are shared with.
Student program login: Students should see a "Use My School Login" button on the student program login pages.
myLexia login: Staff who enter their email address on the myLexia login page will be taken to Clever to complete the login.
What should I look for after the launch?
Your data integrations specialist will review your site to make sure that everything synced as expected. You can look at your staff, student, and class lists in myLexia to make sure that the expected staff, students, and classes are there.

How often does data get synced from Clever to myLexia?
Once your Clever sync is activated, syncs between Clever and myLexia happen every night*.
Your student information system (SIS) syncs with Clever, and then Clever syncs with myLexia. Therefore, changes in your SIS may take up to two days to be reflected in myLexia.
*Some districts that share a large amount of data sync less frequently.

Something’s not right! How can I troubleshoot?
After your sync is activated, you may find that some students, staff, or classes aren’t syncing as expected. The Lexia Data Integrations team is always happy to help!
