Troubleshooting: Unable to Create new Student Account in myLexia

This article explains several reasons why you may not be able to create new student accounts in myLexia.
Applies to: Educators and administrators who have Teacher, School Admin, or District Admin access to myLexia®.
Why don’t I see the Create Student button?

You might not see the Create Student button on the Manage > Students page if you do not have permission to create student accounts in myLexia.

Why is the save button dimmed in the Edit Student window?

If you try to create a new student account in myLexia but are unable to save the account, it may be because you didn’t fill out all of the required fields, or one of the fields contains invalid information.

Why did I receive a Duplicate Username error?
Student usernames need to be unique in a school or district myLexia site. If you receive a “Duplicate Username” error when creating a new student account, it is because there is another student account with that username in your myLexia site.
