Who can use custom pathways that have been created?

In your implementation, other course managers can see custom pathways that you have created, depending on course manager's scope and view in the organization.

A custom pathway created by a course owner at the organization level can be viewed and duplicated by any other course owner at any level within that organization. It can only be deleted by course owners at the organization level.

A custom pathway created by a course owner at the district level can be viewed and duplicated by any other course owner in the same district. It can only be deleted by course owners at the district level in the same district. It cannot be seen or used by course owners in other districts within your implementation.

A custom pathway created by a course owner at the subdistrict level can be viewed and duplicated by any other course owner in the same subdistrict. It can only be deleted by course owners at the subdistrict level in the same subdistrict. It cannot be seen or used by course owners in other subdistricts within your implementation.

A custom pathway created by a course owner at the school level can be viewed, edited, and deleted by any other course owners in the same school. It cannot be seen or used by course owners in any other school within your implementation.

Can I assign a participant to multiple pathway cohorts?

A participant can only be a member of one pathway cohort at a time.

If you attempt to apply a pathway to a cohort that includes any participant who is already on a pathway, you will be prompted to resolve conflicts.

A participant can be in multiple cohorts, as long as only one of those cohorts is a pathway cohort.

What happens to a participant’s progress if I remove them from a pathway cohort?

All of the participant's course progress will be saved. That participant will return to the regular participant experience in Aspire.

What happens to a pathway cohort when the pathway is removed?

The cohort becomes a regular cohort.

Can I make changes to a custom pathway after I have already assigned it to a cohort, or multiple cohorts?

Yes. Once you save changes, participants on that pathway will see the changes reflected immediately.

If you edit a pathway that is assigned to multiple cohorts, the pathway will be edited for all of the assigned cohorts.

What resources can I share with participants about the pathway experience in Aspire?
