Overview

Lexia Lessons are scripted, teacher-led lessons intended to be delivered to students in person. If a student using Lexia® Core5® Reading goes into Instruction mode twice in a single unit, they will be flagged under the Need Instruction tab in myLexia and assigned a Lexia Lesson.

How do I know which students have been assigned Core5 Lexia Lessons, and how do I mark them as delivered?

When a Core5 student goes into Instruction Mode twice in a single unit, a Lexia Lesson is assigned to them in myLexia. Educators can view Lexia Lessons, including the date a student was flagged for a Lesson, and mark them as delivered from the Action Plan on a Class Overview page. Please see:

How to view Core5 Lexia Lessons and mark them as delivered

How do I mark a Lexia Lesson as not delivered?

If you marked a Lexia Lesson as delivered by accident, or you otherwise want to mark a Lesson as undelivered, you can do so in myLexia. Educators can mark Lexia Lessons as not delivered under the Need Instruction tab on their Class Overview. Please see:

How to mark Core5 Lexia Lessons as not delivered

Where is my student's Lexia Lesson? I can't find it!

If a student passes the unit where they were assigned a Lexia Lesson, they will no longer be flagged as needing instruction and the lesson will no longer be available on the Class Table in myLexia. You can still view details about the student's performance in each unit on their Detailed Skills report. For more information, see Why can't I find my student's Lexia Lesson?

Can I manually assign Lexia Lessons to students?

There is not a way to manually assign Lexia Lessons in myLexia. Lessons are automatically assigned to students based on areas of the program where they need additional instruction.

However, there is a Lesson Library in myLexia where you can view and print any Lexia Lesson. To access the Lessons Library:

  1. In myLexia, select Resources.

  2. Under the Core5 logo, select Lexia Lessons under Instructional Materials.

  3. Select the name of any Lesson to view the PDF, which you can download or print from your browser.

You can switch between Core5 and PowerUp Lexia Lessons by selecting the program name underneath Lexia Lesson Library at the top of the list.
