Distributing login information to staff and students

Overview

Staff and students require usernames and passwords to log in to myLexia and Lexia student programs. This article explains:

  • How login information is sent to newly-created staff accounts

  • How teachers and administrators can distribute login information to students after accounts have been created for them in myLexia.

Applies to: Educators and administrators who have Teacher, School Admin, or District Admin access to myLexia®.

How is login information distributed to staff?

Orientation emails are automatically sent to staff after their accounts are created.

  • In order for staff to receive orientation emails, the email notification setting must be on in myLexia, and your firewall must be configured to accept emails from Lexia.

  • Orientation emails are sent out once per day, so staff should expect an email the day after their account is created.

  • Orientation emails do not include password information; staff can set their passwords using the directions provided in the email.

How do I distribute login information to students?

Teachers and administrators can print class rosters and/or login cards that include the student’s username and password.

  • Admins can print class rosters and login cards in bulk on Manage > Classes.

  • Teachers can print class rosters and login cards from their Class Overview.
