Distributing login information to staff and students
Overview
Staff and students require usernames and passwords to log in to myLexia and Lexia student programs. This article explains:
How login information is sent to newly-created staff accounts
How teachers and administrators can distribute login information to students after accounts have been created for them in myLexia.
Applies to: Educators and administrators who have Teacher, School Admin, or District Admin access to myLexia®.
How is login information distributed to staff?
Orientation emails are automatically sent to staff after their accounts are created.
In order for staff to receive orientation emails, the email notification setting must be on in myLexia, and your firewall must be configured to accept emails from Lexia.
Orientation emails are sent out once per day, so staff should expect an email the day after their account is created.
Orientation emails do not include password information; staff can set their passwords using the directions provided in the email.
How do I distribute login information to students?
Teachers and administrators can print class rosters and/or login cards that include the student’s username and password.
Admins can print class rosters and login cards in bulk on Manage > Classes.
Teachers can print class rosters and login cards from their Class Overview.
