Class Roster and Login Cards FAQs

Overview

From myLexia®, you can print a class roster with student information (including usernames and passwords) and login cards that you can use with your students. This article answers a few frequently-asked questions about class rosters and login cards.

Applies to: Educators and administrators who have Teacher or Admin access to myLexia®

If your school uses single sign-on for student logins, this article may not apply to you and your students. If you are not sure if your students should access Lexia student programs through single sign-on, check with your school or district myLexia administrator.

What is the difference between the class roster and login cards?

Login cards display each student’s username and password. They are compatible with Avery® 5395 and 8395, or you can print them on letter-size paper and cut them up and distribute them to each student.

The class roster displays a list of students in a class and the students’ usernames and passwords.

I have one new student in my class. Can I print just one student login card?

Print Login Cards will print cards for the entire class—you are not able to select specific students before printing. As a workaround, you could create a class with only the new student in it, print the login card, and then delete that class.

Why is the password field blank on my students’ login cards?

If the password fields are blank on the roster and login cards, it is because your school or district has chosen to have students use a single sign-on portal (such as Clever or ClassLink) to log into Lexia programs.

Have students log in to that portal with their portal credentials and select the appropriate Lexia program tile to log in.

Why don't I have the option to print login cards or class rosters?

If you don't see the Print Roster or Print Login Cards options from the print menu of your Class Overview, or from the Manage > Classes page, it may be because you don't have permissions to see student passwords.

Check with a school or district myLexia administrator to see what your school or district policy regarding student passwords is.
