What types of licenses are available for Aspire?
There are two types of licenses available for Aspire. An educator can have either a participant license or a leader license, but not both.
Aspire Participant License
An Aspireparticipant license allows access to the Aspire learning platform. Aspire participants:
Have access to the online Aspire courses, and must complete the prerequisites before beginning the coursework. They also must complete activities and assessments to move forward in a course.
Receive certificates for each course they complete.
Can view their progress on the Participant Dashboard.
Aspire Leader License
An Aspireleader license allows access to the Aspire learning platform for monitoring purposes. Leaders can view Aspire course content but are not required to engage with it. Aspire leaders:
Do not need to complete coursework and assessments.
Can browse the Aspire course content in any order.
Receive certificates for each course they complete.
Can view and monitor participant progress within their scope of view (district or school).
Both Aspire participants and leaders may also be assigned additional course manager permissions. For more information about Aspire course managers, see Aspire Roles and Permissions.
How are participant and leader licenses assigned and unassigned?
Course managers with Owner or License Manager permission can assign both participant and leader licenses. For directions on how to assign either license, see Assign Licenses for Aspire.
