Aspire Roles and Permissions
Overview
This article gives an overview of the roles and permissions available to educators and administrators in Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning The permission types are as follows:
Participant
Leader
Course manager permissions: Owner, Cohort Manager, License Manager, and View Only
Applies to: All educators, leaders, and course managers who have accounts in the learning platform for Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning.
Aspire Participants
Participants need a license to access Aspire course content.
Participants must complete prerequisites before accessing other courses, and must engage with content before moving forward in a course.
Participants receive certificates for each course they complete.
Participants can view their individual analytics on the Participant Dashboard.
Aspire Leaders
Leaders need a license to access Aspire course content.
Leaders can explore courses in any order. They are not required to take any assessments or complete any course.
Leaders do not receive certificates for completing courses.
Leaders can monitor participant progress with view-only access to course dashboards, but can not manage participants unless they have the appropriate course manager permissions.
A Leader can also be assigned a role with course manager permissions.
Aspire Course Managers
Course managers do not need a license to perform course management or to monitor participant progress in the Aspire learning platform.
Course manager permissions alone do not grant access to Aspire course content, however, course managers can be assigned a participant license or a leader license so that they can also access Aspire course content.
Course managers can have the following permission levels: Owner, License Manager, Cohort Manager, or View Only. See Aspire Course Manager Permissions for detailed information about course manager permissions.
Comparison of Course Manager and Leader Permissions
