Aspire Course Manager Permissions
Overview
There are four types of course manager permissions in Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning:
Owner
License Manager
Cohort Manager
View Only
Owners can assign course managers one of the four permission types.
This article explains the four permission types for Aspire course managers and what actions each of them can perform in Aspire. It also explains how Owners can assign course manager permissions.
Applies to: Course managers with Owner, License Manager, Cohort Manager, or View Only permission for Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning.
Does not apply to: Educators who are enrolled in Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning.
Aspire Course Manager Permissions
All course managers have access to the Manage menu in Aspire and can view participant progress, download participant progress reports, and view participant license status. A course manager’s permission type determines the additional tasks they can perform.
Only Owners can change course manager permissions. Descriptions of each permission type are displayed on the Course ManagerPermissions page under the Manage menu in Aspire.

Owners
Course managers who are Owners have access to all of the course manager features provided in Aspire.
District-level Course Owners can manage, add, and remove course managers at the district level and at the school level.
School-level Course Owners can manage, add, and remove course managers at their assigned school.
License Managers
License Managers can assign and unassign licenses and edit participants.
While they can view cohort overviews, License Managers cannot create, edit, or delete cohorts.
License Managers cannot assign course manager permissions.
Cohort Managers
Cohort Managers can create, rename, and delete cohorts, and change cohort membership.
While they can view participant license information, Cohort Managers cannot perform any tasks on the Manage Licenses page.
Cohort Managers cannot assign course manager permissions.
View Only
The View Only permission type is assigned by default when adding new course managers.
View Only course managers can see all of the course manager pages and reports but cannot make any changes.
