Why Doesn't my Student Have a License?
Overview
This article describes some reasons why a student might not currently have a license for Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp.
Applies to: Educators whose students use Lexia® Core5® Reading, Lexia® English Language Development™, or Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®.
Why doesn't my student have a license?
As long as there are licenses available, a student will gain a license automatically when they log in Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp for the first time after auto-placing. Here are some common reasons why a student may not have a license assigned:
They have not logged in to the program yet.
It is the start or end of the school year. All student licenses are freed at the start and end of the school year (as set in myLexia settings).
The student is still taking the placement test. Students will gain a license after logging into the program for the first time after auto-placing.
The student has not logged in to the program for 28 days or more. After four consecutive weeks of inactivity, the license is automatically freed and returned to the license pool. If licenses are still available, the student can log in again to acquire a license.
All licenses are currently allocated to other students. If students receive an error message that your school is out of licenses, please reach out to your myLexia admin. If you are a myLexia admin, see Managing Licenses for Core5 and PowerUp and/or Managing Licenses for Lexia English.
