Manual Import Error Codes: Class cannot be determined
Overview
Manual import allows you to import comma-separated (.csv) or tab-separated (.tsv) spreadsheet files of staff and student information into myLexia.com. In the import, if two classes in the same school have the same name, it will cause a “Class cannot be determined” error. This article explains how to fix this error.

Applies to: Educators and Administrators who have myLexia District Admin access, and some Educators and Administrators who have School Admin access to myLexia.
How do I fix a “Class cannot be determined” error?
The “Class cannot be determined” error means that more than one class in the same school in myLexia has the same name. If you include this class name in your import file, the import can’t determine which one of the classes to place the student or staff into.
Instructions:
Option 1:
Remove the class name from your import file.
After the import, manually add the student(s) or staff to the existing class in myLexia.
Option 2:
Before you import, change one or both of the class names so that all class names are unique in myLexia.
Change the class name(s) in your import file and attempt the import again.
