LETRS License Consumption Policy

Overview

This article explains the Lexia® LETRS® license consumption policy, or when a license is considered to be consumed.

Applies to: Educators and course managers who have accounts in Lexia® LETRS®, Lexia® LETRS® for Early Childhood Educators, and/or Lexia® LETRS® for Administrators.

What is the importance of a consumed license?

Consumed licenses cannot be unassigned and given to another participant.

When is a LETRS license considered to be consumed?

A license is consumed when the assigned participant completes the associated course’s Intro/Welcome session that comes before Unit 1.

Once a participant completes the welcome session of the course associated with the license, the license can no longer be unassigned and given to another participant.

For directions on how to check if a license is consumed, see How do I view if a LETRS participant license has been consumed?

For licenses that were purchased before January 1, 2022 and that have a start date before June 30, 2022, a previous policy applies – a license is consumed when 50% of the associated coursework is completed by the assigned participant. Both of the stated conditions (start and end date) must be true in order for the previous policy to apply.
