Technology Preparation: Core5

Help the first day go smoothly! Check the following technical items before students’ first day using Core5.
Do all students have headphones?
Each student needs headphones or earbuds.
Have you checked trusted sites and system requirements?
Trusted Sites
Make sure your tech department has added Core5 URLs to your trusted sites.
System requirements
Have your tech department check Core5 System Requirements in advance to confirm that student computers and devices are ready to run Core5.
Are student devices ready to log in?
If students use computers to access Core5:
Direct login: If students log directly in to Core5, bookmark lexiacore5.com or your custom link for Core5 on each computer.
Your tech department may be able to help push the custom link to all student computers.
Portal login: If your school or district uses an online portal (such as Clever) to log in to student programs, make sure that students know how to log in to their single sign-on portal, and that they have access to Core5 from the portal.
If students use iPads to access Core5:
Download the Core5 app ahead of time. If student devices are managed by your tech department, work with them to make sure the app is downloaded to each student device.
In schools and districts that use Clever to log in to student programs on iPads, iPads will need to have the Clever app installed in addition to the Core5 app. To log in, students should open the Clever app.
