Who is eligible for LETRS Coaching?
Overview
LETRS Coaching supports educators who have completed LETRS Volume 1 or 2 in translating theory into practice by focusing on classroom applications of LETRS principles. Educators receive either a half school year or full school year of support from a LETRS coach to work through goal-focused coaching cycles, including one-to-one live online coaching sessions and ongoing asynchronous feedback and reflection.
This article explains what criteria a LETRS participant must meet in order to begin LETRS Coaching.
Applies to: Participants who have completed one or both Volumes of Lexia® LETRS® and are continuing their professional learning journey in Lexia® LETRS® Coaching, as well as administrators managing participants who are moving on from the LETRS course of study to LETRS Coaching.
LETRS Coaching is only available for LETRS participants who have completed Volume 1 or 2 of LETRS.
LETRS Coaching is not available for participants of LETRS for Administrators or LETRS for Early Childhood Educators.
What criteria does a LETRS participant need to meet in order to begin LETRS Coaching?
There are two options for LETRS Coaching:
LETRS Coaching for LETRS graduates offers a full school year of coaching for LETRS participants who have completed both Volumes 1 and 2 of LETRS.
LETRS Coaching for Volume 1 offers half a school year of coaching for participants who have completed Volume 1 of LETRS.
In order for a participant to be eligible for LETRS Coaching:
For LETRS Coaching for LETRS graduates: You must have completed LETRS Units 1-8. There is no minimum posttest score requirement and no time limit. Even if you completed both volumes of LETRS some time ago, you are still eligible for LETRS Coaching.
For LETRS Coaching for Volume 1: You must have completed the LETRS Units 1-4 Posttest and have not yet completed Unit 8. There is no minimum posttest score requirement and no time limit. Even if you completed Volume 1 of LETRS some time ago, you are eligible to enroll in LETRS Coaching as long as you have not yet completed Unit 8.
Both LETRS Coaching products give you access to other resources, like LETRS Connect, the Lexia Community Center, and LETRS course content in case you need a refresher!
You must be actively and directly involved in the delivery of literacy instruction to students.
You must be enrolled through a school or district that has purchased LETRS Coaching.
LETRS Coaching is not available to educators for individual purchase.
For course managers: How do I check who can be enrolled in LETRS Coaching?
For LETRS Coaching for LETRS graduates: Use the Course Completion Report to verify which participants in your LETRS implementation have completed both Volumes 1 and 2 of LETRS.
For LETRS Coaching for Volume 1: Use the Participant Overview Report to sort participants by Furthest Progress. Participants with a score in the 1-4 Posttest column who do not yet have a score in the U8 (Unit 8) column are eligible for LETRS Coaching for Volume 1.
