For Families: Log in to Lexia Programs with Clever
Overview
Some schools and districts use a program called Clever to log in to Lexia® programs with single sign-on. Clever helps manage logins for multiple applications that students may use at school.
If your child's school or district uses Clever for single sign-on, your child will access their Lexia student program at home by logging in to their Clever portal the same way they log in at school.
If your child does not know their Clever username and password, please reach out to their teacher. Clever login information is managed by the school or district.
This article explains how to use Clever to log in to Lexia programs at home.
Applies to: Students who use Clever to log in to Lexia student programs (Lexia® Core5® Reading, Lexia® English Language Development™, and Lexia® PowerUp Literacy™).
My student uses Clever at school. How do they log in to Lexia student programs with Clever at home?
Students can log in to Lexia programs with Clever via:
A web browser on a computer, laptop, or Chromebook
An iPad, using the Clever app and the Lexia student program app (Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp)
See the steps below based on what type of device your child is using at home.
Logging in on a computer, laptop, or Chromebook
Students can log in to Lexia programs via a web browser on a computer, laptop, or Chromebook. The supported browsers are Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
See the current system requirements for the program your child is using (Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp), to ensure they are using a supported device and browser.
There are two login options via web browser: log in through the school's Clever portal, or with the Use My School Login button on the Lexia program login page.
Option 1: Log in through the Clever Portal
Go to the Clever login page for your student's school or district. If you don't know where the login page is, go to clever.com/login.
If your student has a Clever badge (a QR code they use to log in), and the device has a webcam enabled, select Badge.
If your student uses a username and password to log in, select Password. Search for your student's school to find their Clever portal, where they can enter their username and password.
Once the student is logged into their Clever portal, have them select the icon for their Lexia program (Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp). This should log them in to the program.
Option 2: Log in with the Use My School Login button
Go to lexiacore5.com (Core5), english.lexialearning.com (Lexia English), or lexiapowerup.com (PowerUp).
Select the Use My School Login button. It looks like this:

On the Clever login screen, select Log in With Clever.
Log in with the Clever login credentials provided by your child's school.
If your child has a Clever badge and a webcam-enabled device, select Log in With Clever Badges to scan their QR code.
Logging in on an iPad
If your child is logging in on an iPad, check the system requirements for the Lexia program they are using (Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp). Please note that some older iPad models and older OS versions are not supported.
You will need to install two apps—your student’s Lexia student program app, as well as the Clever app:
Download the free Lexia Core5 Reading, Lexia English or Lexia PowerUp Literacy app from the Apple App Store.
Download the free Clever app from the Apple App Store.
Open the Clever app. Have your student log in using their Clever credentials, or scan their Clever Badge if they have one.
In the Clever portal, select the Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp icon to launch and log in to the program app.
Help, my child can’t log in to Lexia with Clever!
If your child receives an error that their Clever credentials are incorrect, please reach out to their teacher to ensure they have the correct username and password. Clever credentials are managed by the school.
If your child receives an error that says "We're sorry! Your login request with Clever cannot be completed," this usually indicates there is an issue connecting the student's Lexia account to their Clever account. Your child's teacher will need to resolve this issue with the school or district's technology department, as they are typically the ones managing student accounts.
Please let your child's teacher know about the error, and which program they were trying to log in to (Core5, Lexia English, or PowerUp). Don't worry! Your child's teacher can work with the right people to get the student's account working with Lexia. If they do not know what is causing the issue, they can reach out to Lexia Customer Support for assistance.
