Core5 Updates - July 2026
- We added Lexia® Assignments for Core5! Grounded in the Science of Reading, Lexia® Assignments are system‑assigned practice experiences in Core5 that provide students with additional, targeted instruction and practice when a skill needs reinforcement. Assignments are automatically generated based on student performance on end‑of‑level Skill Checks and are aligned to specific Core5 skills. Educators can view assignment activity and progress in a myLexia Class Skill Check Report also launching Summer 2026.
- Core5 now has enhanced Explicit Instruction at the start of K–2 Phonics activities. Students receive clear, upfront teaching to build a strong understanding of new sounds, letter formation, and key phonics rules before moving into independent practice.
- We improved accessibility by adding Audio Transcript Display preview to Educator Mode. Incremental support was also added for Keyboard Navigation, and status messages were added for progress bars.
- Instructional Resources: New and revised resources expand support for teacher‑led instruction and increase opportunities for student practice and application of skills.
