How do I Assign a Core5 Student to PowerUp?

This article describes how to change a student’s program assignment from Lexia® Core5® Reading to Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®

PowerUp is recommended for grades 6 and up.

Applies to: Educators and administrators who have Teacher, School Admin, or District Admin access to myLexia®.

How do I change a student's program assignment from Core5 to PowerUp?

Changing a student from Core5 to PowerUp will delete all of their Core5 data. Export any necessary reports before changing student program assignments.

  1. In myLexia, select Manage.

  2. Select Students.

  3. Search for the student, using the search box for Student Name or Username.

  4. Select the pencil icon next to the student's name.

  5. In the Edit Student window, select Reading Program. The Student's current level is displayed beside "Current Placement."

  6. Select Move to Lexia PowerUp Literacy.

    Optional: Select the Edit button for a strand (Word Study, Grammar, or Comprehension) if you would like to manually place the student in that strand.

  7. Select Save. The student will be assigned to PowerUp and will start in Auto Placement on their next login.
