How are Lexia Student Program Licenses Assigned?
Overview
This article explains how licenses are assigned for Core5, Lexia English, and PowerUp.
Applies to: Educators whose students use Lexia Core5
Reading, Lexia
English Language Development
, or Lexia
PowerUp Literacy
.
Do I need to assign licenses to students before they begin using a Lexia program?
No. As long as there are licenses available, a student will gain a license automatically when they log in for the first time after auto-placing. Students use any school-purchased or allocated licenses before the District Reserve licenses.
How can I see which students currently have licenses?
See which students have licenses from the Manage tab in myLexia:
Log in to myLexia.
Select Manage and then Students.
Look for the appropriate License column:
Core5 and PowerUp licenses are in the Reading Program Information section.
Lexia English licenses are in the Lexia English Information section.
Select the License drop down menu in either Reading Program Information or Lexia English Information and choose Yes to see only students who have licenses assigned in a reading program or Lexia English.

Can a student have a license for more than one Lexia program?
Students can only be enrolled in one Reading program (Core5 or PowerUp) at a time. However, students can be enrolled in both Lexia English and one Reading program at the same time. For example, a student can have a license for Core5 and a license for Lexia English, as long as licenses are available for each.
Before having students use Lexia English, talk to your school or district myLexia administrator about next steps. The number of available licenses may be limited.
