Why is one of my participants grayed-out in LETRS?
Overview
As you navigate the LETRS platform, you may notice some participants' names are grayed-out. This articles explains grayed-out names, Deactivated users, and Inactive users.
Applies to: Course managers with Owner, License Manager, Cohort Manager, or View Only permission for Lexia® LETRS®.
Does not apply to: Educators who are enrolled in the Lexia® LETRS®, Lexia® LETRS® for Early Childhood Educators, and/or Lexia® LETRS® for Administrators courses of study.
Grayed-out Participants
Deactivated Users
Some grayed-out participants are Deactivated users. A deactivated user is a user account that has been deactivated at request by a course manager. A Deactivated user will be indicated by the following icon:

Deactivated is a user account status, not a license status. User accounts cannot be manually deactivated or reactivated using the LETRS application. Contact Lexia Support if you need help deactivating or reactivating a user.
Why are some of my Participants Deactivated?
Participants can only be deactivated by request. If you see a deactivated user, it means a course manager contacted Lexia Support and requested that participant be deactivated.

Inactive Users
Other grayed-out participants are Inactive users. An inactive user is a user account that has been automatically set to inactive due to having no active license and no login for the past year. An Inactive user will be indicated by the following icon:
