Can a LETRS license for a participant be extended?

Overview

A license set for LETRS is defined by three main things:

  • the product configuration

  • the number of licenses included in the license set

  • the start and end dates of the license set

This article explains the policy for extending a participant license. It also provides information on license extension sets.

Can a participant license be extended?

Yes, a participant's license can be extended with the purchase of a license extension set.

License extension sets

License extension sets generally include the same number of licenses as the original license set, or a subset of the set.

If the license extension set does not include the full amount of licenses in the original set, the point of contact must decide which participants from the original license set should be included in the extension. The point of contact must also decide which unassigned licenses from the original set are to be included in the extension.

What is the purpose of a license extension?

There are two reasons why a license set may be extended:

  • Allow participants more time with the course content or to complete the course

  • Allow more time to assign unused licenses

Start and end dates of a license extension set

The set determines the start and end dates.

Every license included in this set will have the start and end dates of the set.
