What is LETRS with A Principal's Primer

Lexia® LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) with A Principal’s Primer is a course of study that combines the book (A Principal’s Primer for Raising Reading Achievement) with an online component and optional face-to-face training to help instructional leaders create systems and structures to improve overall literacy instruction.

LETRS with A Principal's Primer helps literacy leaders:

  • Create efficient methods of analyzing student data

  • Establish effective instructional blocks in literacy

  • Examine resources for all tiers of instruction

  • Support their LETRS professional development participants

The research-based course complements LETRS, and guides state, district, or building leaders in implementing research-based, multi-tiered instruction. The course provides administrators with specific steps for facilitating change, developing a comprehensive assessment plan, managing resources, assembling a school leadership team, and making data-based decisions.

This content is delivered using a dynamic blended learning experience that includes three components:

  • LETRS Online Learning Platform
