What is included in the LETRS for Early Childhood Educators course of study?

LETRS for Early Childhood Educators is composed of four units of content. See Learning Outcomes by Unit for LETRS Early Childhood. Each unit is organized around four components that take deep, meaningful research and bridge that research into practice in the classroom: LETRS Online Learning Platform, LETRS Bridge to Practice, LETRS for Early Childhood Educators Participant Manual, and LETRS for Early Childhood Educators Unit Trainings (for customers who purchased trainings).

  • LETRS Online Learning Platform—Each unit in the learning platform consists of sessions. There are 10 sessions in total: Units 1, 3, and 4 each have two sessions, and Unit 2 has four sessions. To reinforce your understanding, you’ll complete activities throughout each session. Each online session ends with a Check for Understanding assessment.

  • LETRS Bridge to Practice activities—Each online session has a Bridge to Practice activity where you’ll be guided to transfer what you learned to your classroom.

  • LETRS for Early Childhood Educators Participant Manual—The printed participant manual is a companion to the online content. You can reference the manual before, during, or after completing the online content and activities.

  • LETRS for Early Childhood Educators Unit Trainings (for customers who purchased trainings)—The two professional learning sessions align to the four units of content in the learning platform and participant manual. Each professional learning session is a six-hour training led by a highly qualified LETRS facilitator.
