Retaking the LETRS Posttest to Become a Facilitator

Overview

Lexia LETRS​ and Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators use assessments in the learning platform to help educators track their progress and solidify their understanding of the content. These assessments include a pretest and a posttest, unit assessments, and Checks for Understanding.

This article explains when you are able to retake a LETRS posttest in order to become a facilitator.

Applies to: Educators who are enrolled in the Lexia LETRS​ or Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators courses of study.

Does not apply to: Educators or administrators enrolled in the Lexia LETRS for Administrators course of study.

Can I retake my LETRS or LETRS for Early Childhood Educators posttest?

You are not able to retake the posttest, with the following exception:

If you are seeking to become a LETRS facilitator, and you scored 80-87% (LETRS) or 80-89% (LETRS for Early Childhood Educators) on your posttest, you can request to retake the posttest by contacting Lexia Customer Support.

Please note that you may only retake the posttest once.

LETRS Facilitator candidates must achieve the following minimum scores on their posttest:

• LETRS: 88%

• LETRS for Early Childhood Educators: 90%

I want to become a LETRS facilitator; how can I have my posttest reset?

If you currently hold a valid license for LETRS or LETRS for Early Childhood Educators and want to become a facilitator, you may be able to have your posttest reset.

Contact Lexia Customer Support with the following information to request a posttest reset:

• Full name

• LETRS username

• Email address associated with your LETRS account

• Requested posttest to reset:

  • LETRS Volume 1 (Units 1-4)

  • LETRS Volume 2 (Units 5-8)

  • LETRS for Early Childhood Educators
