Can colleagues attend a LETRS Live Online professional learning session from the same room?

Overview

Unit professional learning (PL) sessions are offered as part of the Lexia®️ LETRS®️, Lexia®️ LETRS®️ for Early Childhood Educators, and Lexia®️ LETRS®️ for Administrators courses. PL sessions help participants to review and take a deeper dive into the content.

This article explains what to be aware of while attending a Live Online a session with colleagues.

Please note that not all schools and districts opt to purchase professional learning sessions.

Contact your school or district LETRS course manager if you have questions about professional learning sessions.

Applies to: Educators who are enrolled in Lexia®️ LETRS®️.

Attending with colleagues from the same room

Colleagues may attend a Live Online professional learning session as a group in the same room, so that you can discuss the content with each other during breaks.

Keep the following in mind:

  • All attendees must be registered for the professional learning session.

  • LETRS Live Online professional learning sessions are interactive. It’s best if each participant individually logs in to the session, so that you can all engage in the chat conversations, polls, and activities.

  • We recommend doing a connectivity check before the session to verify that audio, video, and projection are functioning. Make sure to perform the connectivity check with the same devices that participants will use on the day of training and to have a school or district staff member who has expertise in technology present to resolve issues. During the connectivity check, the LETRS trainer and technology staff will verify that participants can hear and see the presenter.
