Use PowerUp in Educator Mode
Overview
Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® has a feature called Educator Mode. Educators who have myLexia accounts can use Educator Mode to become familiar with PowerUp without having to navigate the program linearly, the way a student would. Using this mode, you can access any part of PowerUp to preview the activities.
No progress or data is saved in Educator Mode. Logging into PowerUp with your teacher email address automatically opens PowerUp in Educator Mode.

Use PowerUp in Educator Mode
Follow the steps below:
Go to www.lexiapowerup.com.
If you are prompted to enter a teacher’s email address to set up the device, enter your school email address.
On the PowerUp login page, enter the same email and password that you use to log in to myLexia.
This will take you into Educator Mode. You are able to skip the introduction by selecting the red arrow button in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will be directed to the Overview, where you can read about PowerUp’s program features, as well as its scope sequence. You can also watch videos about what the student experience in PowerUp looks like, and view a sample of some of the videos that are used in the student program.
To view PowerUp activities from a student point of view
Select one of the three strands at the top of the page (Word Study, Grammar, or Comprehension).
Select any of the activities under one of the three zones (Foundational, Intermediate, or Advanced).
You may need to scroll down to see the Intermediate and Advanced activities.
After you select an activity, you will see a window where you can select a unit to preview.
When you have selected a unit, you can preview what it will look like to a student. You can either answer the questions and progress the way a student would, or you can use the orange fast-forward button at the lower right corner to skip from question to question.
The fast-forward icon is only available in Educator Mode. Students do not have this option, and they must answer a question before moving to the next one.
