Accessibility in Core5: Tap & Tap Functionality
Overview
Did you know Lexia® Core5® Reading includes a Tap & Tap function for activities that prompt students to Drag & Drop answer choices into a dropzone? If the Drag & Drop function presents a barrier for a student, they can use the Tap & Tap function as an accessible alternative.
This article explains how students can use the Tap & Tap function instead of the Drag & Drop function in Core5 activities.
Applies to: Educators and administrators whose students use Lexia® Core5® Reading.
How does my student use the Tap & Tap function?
Core5 includes activities that ask students to place an answer choice in a dropzone.
Students can answer these activities in two ways:

Drag & Drop: students drag an answer choice into the dropzone.

Tap & Tap: students tap the answer choice, then tap the dropzone to place it.

Drag & Drop and Tap & Tap functionality are availble by default in most Core5 activities. You will not need to change any settings to add these functions.
