What is LETRS Coaching?
Overview
LETRS Coaching supports educators who have completed LETRS Volume 1 or 2 in translating theory into practice by focusing on classroom applications of LETRS principles. Educators receive either a half school year or full school year of support from a LETRS coach to work through goal-focused coaching cycles, including one-to-one live online coaching sessions and ongoing asynchronous feedback and reflection.

Applies to: Participants who have completed one or both Volumes of Lexia® LETRS® and are continuing their professional learning journey in Lexia® LETRS® Coaching, as well as administrators managing participants who are moving on from the LETRS course of study to LETRS Coaching.
LETRS Coaching is only available for LETRS participants who have completed Volume 1 or 2 of LETRS.
LETRS Coaching is not available for participants of LETRS for Administrators or LETRS for Early Childhood Educators who have not completed LETRS Volume 1 or 2.
What is LETRS Coaching?
LETRS Coaching offers personalized, one-on-one live online support from highly qualified LETRS-trained coaches to empower educators to confidently sustain and apply their expertise in the science of reading within their classrooms. You and your LETRS coach will collaboratively set individualized goals so that Coaching meets your individual needs as an educator and will be specific to the dynamics of your classroom.
When you are enrolled in LETRS Coaching, you receive the following:
Year-long or half-year support: An option between one school year or half a school year of support from a LETRS Coaching coach to work through goal-focused coaching cycles
Live Online Coaching: Up to twelve (full-year support) or six (half-year support) 30-minute one-to-one live-online coaching sessions with an assigned LETRS coach
Individualized Goals: Collaboratively established and personalized goals to guide the partnership between educators and their assigned LETRS coach
Asynchronous Communication: Ongoing asynchronous communication with an assigned LETRS coach to ask questions, reflect on practice, and receive feedback on educator-recorded videos of classroom practice
Access to Lexia Resources: Access to resources such as LETRS Connect, Lexia Community Center, the LETRS online course, and other classroom application-focused resources and events.
Administrator Check-Ins: Two touchpoints (full-year support) or one touchpoint (half-year support) for administrators where the LETRS coach shares instructional themes, challenges, and opportunities related to curriculum implementation
What support is provided by LETRS Coaching?
Collaborative Goal-Setting: Your LETRS coach will work with you to set realistic goals tailored to your unique classroom context.
Constructive Feedback: Expect non-evaluative guidance through constructive feedback and effective problem-solving.
Data-Driven Improvement: Your coach will help gather data on your current instructional practices, student outcomes, and classroom challenges to identify specific areas for improvement.
Strategy Implementation: You'll receive support in implementing strategies from LETRS based on identified areas of focus, with ongoing feedback to refine your approaches.
Ongoing Reflection: Through continuous reflection and adjustments, you’ll work towards achieving your goals with your coach’s encouragement and guidance.
Asynchronous Support: You’ll be able to ask asynchronous questions through our platform whenever you think of them. Your LETRS coach will respond to your questions as soon as possible, aiming to provide a response no later than two business days after receiving your question.
Who are the LETRS coaches?
Professional Learning Facilitators: Coaches are Lexia national LETRS Professional Learning Facilitators who have extensive experience facilitating LETRS Volumes I and II.
Experienced Teachers and Coaches: Coaches have robust teaching and coaching experience and are skilled in supporting educators in effectively applying LETRS principles.
Proven Implementation: Coaches have proven track records of implementing LETRS methodologies in classroom settings.
Mentoring Experience: Coaches have experience mentoring educators to improve literacy instruction.
