Clever Sharing Rule Issue: Student not Shared with the myLexia App
Overview
This article is for administrators who use Clever to manage their student accounts in myLexia. If a student can’t log in with Clever, and you have determined that the student doesn’t have an exception account in myLexia or an account with the incorrect RefID in myLexia, it may be an issue with what app or apps the student is shared with in Clever or an issue with the student information that is shared.
What happens if a student isn't shared with the myLexia app in Clever?
The myLexia app in Clever is used for provisioning classes, staff accounts, and student accounts in myLexia. The Lexia student apps in Clever (Core5, Lexia English, and/or PowerUp) are used to give students access to single sign-on for the student programs.
Students must have an account in myLexia to log in to any Lexia student program, and you must share students with the myLexia app in order to create their accounts.
If students aren’t shared with the myLexia app in Clever, they won’t have an account in myLexia. Without an account, they will receive a login error if they try to log in to a Lexia student program through Clever, even if they have been shared with the student app.
What should I do to make sure students have accounts in myLexia?
Share students with the myLexia app in Clever.
If you would like your students to be able to use SSO, you must share students with both the myLexia app (for provisioning) and the appropriate Lexia student application (for SSO access) in Clever.
Changes you make to your sharing rules will take effect in myLexia after the next sync between Clever and myLexia.
