Fields for Manually-Created Student Accounts
Overview
This table lists the required and optional fields for manually creating student accounts in myLexia.

Field | Description |
First Name (Required) | The student’s first name (50 character max). |
Middle Initial | The student’s middle initial (1 char max). |
Last Name (Required) | The student’s last name (40 char max). |
Suffix | Jr., III, etc (10 char max). |
Username (Required) | For student login. Student usernames must be unique in this customer (4-50 characters). Usernames are not case-sensitive. |
Password (Required) | For student login. (4-50 characters). Passwords are case-sensitive. |
School (Required) | The school that the student is associated with. |
Grade (Required) | The student’s grade. For students who have not started Core5 or PowerUp, the assigned grade will determine the program that they are assigned to by default:
Administrators can change the highest grade automatically assigned to Core5 in the Site Settings. For example, Admins can change this setting to 6th grade so students in grades PreK- 6th are automatically assigned to Core5. |
Note | Include a note about the student. This note is only viewable on this screen. |
Native Language Support | When Native Language Support is enabled, the student can access a button in the student program to hear instructional audio in the selected language after the English audio plays. |
Demographic Data tab | If demographic data is enabled for the customer, educators can enter student demographic data on this screen. Administrators can disable demographic data from displaying in myLexia in the Site Settings. Administrators can also do a system-wide deletion of any demographic data that was entered into myLexia in the Site Settings. |
Reading Program and EL Program tabs | On the Reading Program tab (Core5 and PowerUp) tab, users can: Change the student’s program assignment and make manual adjustments to the student’s current program placement for Core5 and PowerUp. Note: The option to change a student’s program assignment or edit their placement will only be visible after the account has been created and saved. On the EL Program tab (Lexia English) tab, users can: Change the student’s program assignment and make manual adjustments to the student’s current program placement for Lexia English.
