đŸ„ł Welcome to the Lexia Community Center!đŸ„ł

We are so glad you are here, and we can’t wait to hear all of the amazing insights, questions, and knowledge you bring to our little corner of the internet.  Our goal is to unite Lexia users to be able to learn from one another so that we can continue to work towards #LiteracyForAll!

If you haven’t yet, please be sure to read through the Community Guidelines - we want to ensure this is a safe, welcoming space for everyone.

First things first, please introduce yourself!  We want to be sure to preserve privacy, so please keep that in mind as you share:

    😁Your first name only

🌆The state in which you live

    đŸ’»Which Lexia product(s) you use

    Â đŸ—“ïžHow long you’ve been a user

🎉One thing that is going really well with your Lexia implementation (no success is too small!)

😁Hi, my name is Jenina.

    🌆I live in Louisiana.

đŸ’»I am currently using Lexia Core5 and LETRS.

Â đŸ—“ïžThis is my second year using Lexia Core5 and this is my first time taking the LETRS course.

🎉So far this year, a large number of students have earned Level Up certificates at both of the schools in which I work. One school has over one thousand and students at the other smaller school has earned over 700 certificates.

Hello All, my name is Jamie Bouchelle

🌆 I live on the Eastern Shore of MD!

đŸ’» I am currently supporting educators with LETRS Implementations at the state level!

Â đŸ—“ïž I have been supporting Lexia educators since 2021.

🎉 I can’t wait to see all the energy and feedback!

😁Hi Lexia Leaders. My name is Jenn.

    🌆I live in Oklahoma.

đŸ’»Most of our product use is LETRS; however, we do have one site using Core 5.

Â đŸ—“ïžWe’ve been with Lexia since 2023, if not longer.

🎉 I ask for a reflection specific to each unit’s content. Reading about the growth in our students is so exciting, but I love the transformation within teachers just as much. Both have a long-lasting impact.

@Read4Life You make a great point. Ss growth is exciting and seeing while supporting Ts growth and transformation is doubly exciting because we know, with continued supports to change Ts practice it has potential for exponential Ss growth over time. I wonder, @Read4Life what supports for Ts are you building or have built?

@Fionafofo  I think the greatest support I’ve built is a safe space to grow. The teachers know it’s ok to ask questions (and even vent) while they grow in their teaching journey. I frequently encourage teachers to express their thoughts/feelings about things so we can have better conversations. Additionally, we are slowly (but steadily) replacing less effective instructional practices with more effective ones. Building our LETRS community in-district has been one of the most effective (district-wide) initiatives we’ve taken on. We have teachers who have become so engrossed in learning all things SoR, that it’s beginning to catch like a wildfire. My job is to hand them the match.

@Read4Life Thank you for sharing. The safe space to grow is a monumental achievement. How wonderful for your Ts. Well done!  I have to imagine it is rewarding to be part of a district that has had the courage to take on such important work.

Howdy! I am so excited about all the possibilities now that we have “Community Center” here at Lexia. My name is Melody and I currently live in Charleston, SC. I am a Lexia Senior Customer Success Manager and get to have all the fun with my customers as we learn from each other, brainstorm new ideas and work to make Lexia work and get students empowered to read! I have been with Lexia for 3.5 years and love that I can now collaborate with colleagues and educators in one space. Lifelong learning is important to me and this is a great tool to keep that going for me. 😍

 😁HI! My name is Kate.

    🌆I live in Michigan.

đŸ’»I am starting the Lexia LETRS class. I have used Lexia Core 5 in Third Grade.

Â đŸ—“ïžI used Lexia Core5 for four years.

🎉I liked the reports I could use to see my students’ growth and areas they needed to improve!

Hi! My name is Heather and I am in a little beach town in West Michigan. This will be my third year focusing on LETRS. I just completed the LETRS training and this summer I am going to start the EC LETRS training. The growth I have seen in my kindergarten students from implementing the things I have learned has been the biggest accomplishment to date!

    😁Hello, My name is Kelly.

    🌆I live in Michigan

đŸ’»I have used Lexia Core 5.

Â đŸ—“ïžMy students used it last year.

🎉 I’m learning more about Lexia and LETRS so that I can use them with my students next year and going forward.

@akersh Welcome, Heather! Two years of LETRS training under your (tool)belt AND you got to use your expanded learning with your Kindergarten Ss! That’s HUGE. So glad you’re able to start the EC course.

I wonder, were there any noticeable changes in the EOY reading and writing work of this year’s class than last year’s EOY reading and writing work?
