How can I view my LETRS participant overview reports?
Overview
This article describes how course managers in Lexia LETRS can view participant overview reports from the overview page.
Applies to: Course managers with Owner, License Manager, Cohort Manager, or View Only permission for Lexia LETRS.
Overview Page
When you log in, you’ll see a District or Campus overview page, or a Course Selection page. Course managers can see the progress of every participant that they have access to view, which may be all participants in your state or district, or only the participants in your school. Course managers with District access can access the Schools tab to view a particular school's reports.
The District Overview and School Overview pages show at-a-glance reports of participant progress and performance.
How do I view overall participant progress in my school or district?
From a District or Campus overview, the Cohorts and Participants tabs display overall participant progress.
Cohort Overview
To view reports organized by cohort, select the Cohorts tab on a District or Campus overview.
From this page, hover over a Unit to the right of the Cohort name to view how many participants in the cohort have completed it, and how many are currently working through it. Select the name of a cohort to view the Cohort Overview.
Selecting a cohort name will bring you to the Dashboard of the Cohort Overview. To view participant progress, select the Course Progress tab.
The Course Progress page shows all participants, which can be filtered to Active participants, and sorted by Furthest Progress or Least Progress. Select the Participant, Location, or Last Login column headers to sort participants as needed.
-
If a participant has completed a Pretest or Posttest, their score will be in the Pretest or Posttest column.
-
If a participant has completed a Unit Assessment, their Unit Score will be in the column for that unit. The Unit Score is the average of the Check for Understanding scores plus the weighted Unit Assessment score.
-
Select a Unit number at the top of the column (for example, U1) to see the Session scores for that unit.
-
If a participant is currently working through a unit, the unit column will display what session they are currently working in (for example, S4).
-
To download a spreadsheet of the currently displayed participants, select Download All.
Participants Overview
To view progress of all LETRS participants you have access to, select the Participants tab on a District or Campus overview.
The Participants page displays all participants, which can be filtered by Active participants and sorted by Furthest Progress or Least Progress. Select the Participant, Location, or Last Login column headers to sort participants as needed.
-
The top of the page displays how many total participants there are, and how many are Not Started.
-
If a participant has completed a Pretest or Posttest, their score will be in the Pretest or Posttest column.
-
If a participant has completed a Unit Assessment, their Unit Score will be in the column for that unit. The Unit Score is the average of the Check for Understanding scores plus the weighted Unit Assessment score.
-
Select a Unit number at the top of the column to see the Session scores for that unit.
-
If a participant is currently working through a unit, the unit column will display what session they are currently working in.
-
To download a spreadsheet of the currently displayed participants, select Download All.
Pacing Check
Course Managers can use the Pacing Check feature to view a visual indication of which participants have progressed to or past an expected point in the course content, and which ones have not:
-
On the Course Progress or Participants page, select the box next to Pacing Check and select which unit and session to highlight for this set of participants.
-
This places a vertical marker down the table at the point designated by the unit and session you selected.
-
With a pacing check enabled, a vertical orange bar on the chart will indicate the selected Unit and Session. Sort participants by Furthest Progress or Least Progress to see who is on track, ahead, or behind.
Participant Averages
The Course Progress and Participants pages include a top row which shows the following participant averages. The data shown is determined by the option selected from the Data filter at the top of the list.
-
Scores: If the Data filter is set to Scores, the top row is labeled Average Scores. It shows the average scores for each unit, pretest, and posttest. The average only includes participants with a score.
-
Completion Date: If the Data filter is set to Completion Date, the top row is labeled % Participants Completed. It shows the percentage of participants who have completed the corresponding assessment or unit. This value includes all participants.
-
Time Spent: If the Data filter is set to Time Spent, the top row is labeled Average Time Spent. It shows the average time participants spent on each unit, pretest, and posttest. The Total Time in Units column shows how much time total the participant has spent in units (excluding time spent in pretests and posttests). The average only includes participants who have spent time completing the online material. Time spent on pretests and posttests is included in the total time of these units:
-
Units 1-4 Pretest: part of Unit 1
-
Units 1-4 Posttest: part of Unit 4
-
Units 5-8 Pretest: part of Unit 5
-
Units 5-8 Posttest: part of Unit 8
