Can I retake LETRS assessments?

 

Overview

Lexia®️ LETRS​®️ and Lexia®️ LETRS®️ for Early Childhood Educators use assessments in the learning platform to help educators track their progress and solidify their understanding of the content. These assessments include a pretest and a posttest, unit assessments, and Checks for Understanding.

This article explains whether or not you can retake assessments and what to do if you want to reset your posttest score.

 

Applies to: Educators who are enrolled in the Lexia®️ LETRS​®️ or Lexia®️ LETRS®️ for Early Childhood Educators courses of study.

Does not apply to: Educators or administrators enrolled in the Lexia®️ LETRS®️ for Administrators course of study.

 

Can I retake LETRS and LETRS for Early Childhood Educators assessments?

Pretests

You cannot retake the pretests.

At the end of each volume, you’ll be able to see how much your level of knowledge has increased since you started.

 

Checks for Understanding

You may attempt each Check for Understanding two times.

Your best score will be recorded in the online learning platform.

 

Unit Assessments

You may attempt each unit assessment two times.

Your best score will be recorded in the online learning platform.

 

Posttest

You may only take the posttest one time.*

Note

You are not able to retake the posttest, with the following exception:

If you are seeking to become a LETRS facilitator, and you scored 80-87% (LETRS) or 80-89% (LETRS for Early Childhood Educators) on your posttest, you can request to retake the posttest by contacting Lexia Customer Support.

Please note that you may only retake the posttest once.
